HRSpace vs Eploy: Which Fits Your Hiring and HR Needs in 2026?

HSHRSpace team·September 29, 2026·6 min read

These two products solve different problems, and that decides most of the choice.

Eploy is a UK-built applicant tracking system with a recruitment CRM, offers and onboarding, built for in-house recruitment teams. HRSpace is a modular HR platform: employee records, time off, onboarding, performance, recognition, an internal service desk, and an AI recruitment module for smaller hiring needs.

If your main job is running a busy, complex hiring operation, Eploy is the more specialised tool. If you are a People Ops team that hires some of the time and manages employees all of the time, HRSpace covers more of your week.

The quick answer

  • Choose Eploy if recruiters are the buyer, you hire in volume or across several brands or regions, and another system already handles employee records, leave and reviews.
  • Choose HRSpace if one small team handles hiring, onboarding, time off, reviews and employee questions, and you want published prices and monthly billing.
  • Use both if you need a heavy ATS and an HR platform. Eploy connects to HR and payroll systems, so this is a normal setup.

Recruiting depth: Eploy's territory

Be realistic here. Eploy has been building recruitment software since 1998, and its feature list shows it: job requisition and approval management, talent pooling, a full recruitment CRM, candidate assessment and video interviewing, and configurable workflows for multiple brands and hiring types. Reviewers on Capterra and G2 describe it as configurable and scalable, though some note a steep learning curve for advanced features.

HRSpace's AI Recruitment module ($1 per employee) covers job posts, a candidate pipeline and AI-led screening interviews. That is enough for a company that hires a handful of roles a year, or one that wants screening done before a human gets involved. It is not a substitute for a recruitment CRM built around nurturing talent pools across a large hiring operation.

Test this with a real vacancy. Ask each vendor to take one open role from requisition to offer, and count how many steps you would do by hand.

After the offer: onboarding and everything that follows

Both products cover onboarding. The difference is what sits around it.

In Eploy, onboarding closes out the hiring process: offer, contract, e-signature, and the tasks a new hire needs before day one. After that, the employee lives in your HR system, and Eploy integrates with HR and payroll tools to hand over.

In HRSpace, the hired candidate moves into Onboarding inside the same workspace that holds time off, documents, goals and reviews. Onboarding tasks can route to IT or Finance, and requests such as "order a laptop" can become tracked Service Me tickets instead of Slack messages.

If you already have an HR system you are happy with, the handoff is a non-issue and Eploy's approach is fine. If you don't, you will need one, and that changes the comparison.

Employee requests, time off and reviews

Eploy's product pages describe no time-off tracking, performance reviews, recognition or internal service desk, because that is outside what it sets out to do. This is a scope difference, not a flaw.

HRSpace covers those areas as modules. Service Me ($0.50 per employee) is an internal service desk with a request catalogue, routing rules, SLA targets and approval chains. Goals & Performance ($1) covers goals, review cycles and check-ins. Recognition & Feedback ($0.66) covers recognition.

Pricing

Eploy does not publish prices. Third-party listings have shown entry pricing around £695 per month, but treat that as indicative and ask Eploy for a written quote covering your users, modules, implementation and renewal.

HRSpace publishes its prices. For a 50-person company:

  • Base layer (records, documents, time off, timesheets): 50 × $1 = $50/month
  • Onboarding: 50 × $0.50 = $25/month
  • AI Recruitment: 50 × $1 = $50/month
  • Total: $125/month, billed monthly with no setup fee

Add Service Me and it is $150/month. Add Goals & Performance as well and it is $200/month.

Don't read these two numbers as a like-for-like comparison. One buys a specialist recruiting system and the other buys HR administration with lighter recruiting. Compare what each covers, not just the totals.

How to decide

Answer these three questions:

  1. Who owns the purchase? Recruiters and talent acquisition point to Eploy. People Ops or an HR generalist points to HRSpace.
  2. How complex is your hiring? Multiple brands, high volumes or several regions favour Eploy. A few roles a year favours HRSpace.
  3. Do you already have an HR system? If yes, Eploy plus your existing system works. If no, HRSpace gives you one platform to start with.

Then run one scenario in both demos: take a candidate from application to accepted offer, then follow them through their first two weeks and their first time-off request. Note every place the work changes tools or owners.

Frequently asked questions

Is HRSpace an alternative to Eploy?

For some teams, yes. If you are a small or growing company that needs hiring, onboarding and everyday HR in one place, HRSpace can replace a standalone ATS. If you run complex, high-volume recruiting, Eploy is a more specialised tool.

Does Eploy include onboarding?

Yes. Eploy's site describes offer and contract creation, customisable onboarding workflows and e-signatures.

Does Eploy publish its pricing?

No. Eploy asks you to request a quote.

Does HRSpace have an ATS?

HRSpace's AI Recruitment module covers job posts, a candidate pipeline and AI-led screening interviews, and hired candidates flow into Onboarding. It is lighter than a dedicated ATS with a recruitment CRM.

Can I use HRSpace and Eploy together?

You can. Eploy is built to integrate with HR and payroll systems, so a specialist ATS alongside an HR platform is a common setup. Check the integration path with Eploy first.

Can I try HRSpace before buying?

Yes. HRSpace offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Import your team, switch on the modules you want and run your own workflow.
